Green Day recently sat down with VMusic to talk about going back to the basics for the forthcoming album trilogy, the single 'Oh Love' and what place the band has in music today.

To me, it's just a bunch of really good songs that are straight to the point. Kind of go back to our roots a little bit, kind of get into the epic, and kind of get into a Foxboro Hot Tubs-garage kind of feel.
