NBC has announced that Billie Joe will be a guest on an upcoming episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

On the Tonight Show's page on NBC.com, the episode guest list has Billie Joe listed last, the place usually reserved for musical guests. Might Billie Joe be there just for a solo musical performance? Back in December, Billie Joe performed "Ordinary World" solo on Conan.

The episode will air this coming Friday, September 22nd, at 11:35pm ET on NBC in the US. For those who can't watch, we'll be sure to have a video of it up as soon as possible.

Green Day was last on The Tonight Show last October (almost a year, my goodness) when they performed "Bang Bang" for the first time on national television. Since then, they've appeared on numerous shows including Conan, Ellen, The Late Show, and many more. Check out all of them with our "On TV" news tag.

EDIT 9/22 at 1:00pm EDT: Broadway World is reporting that Billie Joe will be performing "Ordinary World" tonight.
