I'd never heard of him before I joined this site. Users on here seem to have a fascination with whether or not the band get his approval.  When it comes to music which is almost entirely subjective medium, it's a bit weird to put so much credence in what some YouTuber thinks.  Traditionally, music criticism can offer objective insights by examining musical elements like structure, technical execution, and historical context. As far as I can tell, this guy's content just boils down to whether he likes something or not. I might be getting a bit long in the tooth, but who cares?
Absolutely. That's a music critic job, clinical analysis of a song, which they may like or not, possibly without any emotional attachment? It was the critics that predicted GD's terminal decline after Warning. And look how wrong they where. A critic's entitled to their opinion of course. But have they got what I have, GD is in my body, soul and spirit. My heart belongs to them coz they make me happy. And SILB & Ballyhoo are awesome, thanks GD. ??

I've always had respect and admiration for anyone who can play a musical instrument, No matter what kind of instrument or musical genre. Even if you're just entertaining yourself at home like me following along to a song, the feeling is amazing. In my own humble way, I really enjoy following along to GD songs on guitar. Ballyhoo is no different. And it appears to be very popular as there are a number of covers on YouTube. I particularly like this one:-

When I'm listening to this and hear the part "Some days I'm reaching for a blade, I gotta let it go, Sometimes I'm reaching for a knife, I gotta let it go, So no hard feelings..." I always think of an interview Billie did like 15 years ago where he was talking about seeing people who've talked shit about him not being punk and selling out etc and said "They're lucky I don't have a fucking knife in my boot" lol. Healthier attitude now

I took it as about his attitude toward his self-destructive tendencies. Like the impulse is still there but he’s learned to, well, let it go. Kinda tied in to that line in Look Ma, No Brains! “it’s too late now for my suicide”.
