Nimrods movie will be in theatres from 11 August
The Nimrods news just keeps coming! First there was the new song, then the soundtrack's release date (plus vinyl variants), and now we know when we'll finally get to see the movie. It will have a limited run in theatres from August 11th (international) and August 14th (US). Tickets go on sale July 14th. So far, we've heard that it will be in theatres only.
Here's the official summary of the film:
When Tommy receives a phone call inviting his band to open for Green Day on New Years Eve, he doesn't realise it's an elaborate prank by his older brother, Wayne. Desperate to believe his life is about to change, Tommy steals Wayne's car and begins driving his band from Kansas City to Los Angeles, hell bent on getting there in three days. What follows is a rowdy and uproarious road trip across America, inspired by Green Day's early days of touring in a van, years before the release of their breakout record Dookie.
