[newsImage]080310_21cb-vma..jpeg[/newsImage]Green Day's music video for "21st Century Breakdown" has been nominated for Best Special Effects at next month's MTV Video Music Awards. The video, which was released last October, is the fourth video released from the 21st Century Breakdown album. The video was directed by Marc Webb who also has done Waiting, 21 Guns, and Last of the American Girls.

The video was primarily shot in front of a green screen and includes tons of special effects. In my opinion, it is one of Green Day's best music videos and is very deserving of this award. Marc Webb did a great job with it. Click here to view the full list of nominees.
