An upcoming documentary titled "We Want the Airwaves: The WFNX Story" is being funded through Kickstarter, which covers a Boston-area alternative music station that went off the air earlier this year. Back in July 1994 the station held a free event and invited Green Day to perform. Organizers expected 30,000 people to show up, but by the time Green Day came on stage the crowd more than doubled expectations and their set was cut short after the crowd went a bit crazy.
