During Green Day's huge interview with Zane Lowe yesterday on BBC Radio One, other than playing clips of new songs and discussing the bands massive upcoming trilogy, Green Day also announced the first date of their 2013 UK tour.

At the end of the broadcast Zane Lowe exclusively announced that the band would start the tour on June 1, 2013 at Emirates Stadium in London. You can listen to the clip of the announcement below:



We still haven't heard anymore about the band's upcoming North American tour, but we expect dates to be announced soon. According to Billboard Magazine we can expect a North American tour starting in November going through January of 2013.
