Taylor Guitars' YouTube account posted a video of Rob Cavallo with a particularly special guitar. The video was posted in March (yeah, we missed it...), but it's still really interesting. This is the actual guitar that "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" was recorded on.

Rob is shown with a Taylor guitar that had been dubbed "Excalibur" by Billie Joe. This wasn't necessarily because of anything that Billie Joe used it for, but due to the sheer number of hit songs the guitar had appeared on. Rob says that the guitar has appeared on something like ten number one-hit records, and passed through the hands of Shinedown, The Goo Goo Dolls, Alanis Morissette, and Eric Clapton.

The best part is when Rob tries to play the intro to "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" and asks if it sounds like the record does. When Rob struggles through the intro, you can actually hear the sonic qualities that are present in the real thing, from Nimrod. Great stuff, and what a great sounding guitar...
