Green Day announce Australian tour dates for Soundwave festival

Rumors have been going around since late 2012, and now they've finally been confirmed. Green Day will be playing a local festival called Soundwave, which tours most major cities in Australia.

The dates are as follows:
February 22nd - Brisbane, RNA Showgrounds
February 23rd - Sydney Showgrounds
February 28th - Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
March 1st - Adelaide, Bonython Park
March 3rd - Perth, Claremont Showgrounds

Tickets go on sale on http://soundwavefestival.com/ on September 5th at 9am local time.

Update: A organiser has said on twitter that Green Day will not be doing side shows but will do 2 1/2 hour set.
