'Basket Case' nominated at the VGAs (updated)

[img=120910_vga.jpg]Green Day's song "Basket Case" has been nominated at the 2010 VGAs (Video Game Awards) for "Best song in a Game." Basket Case is included in Green Day: Rock Band, which came out last June.

It is up against "GoldenEye" by Nicole Scherzinger, "Black Rain" by Soundgarden, "Far Away" by Jose Gonzales, and Eminem's "Won't Back Down."

Update 12/11/10 11pm EST:
Green Day lost the award to 'Far Away' by Jose Gonzales, which was in Red Dead Redemption.

The VGAs air this Saturday, December 11th, at 8:00pm EST on Spike.
