19 years ago today Green Day released their 4th album (second major label album), Insomniac. It was the very anticipated follow up to Dookie which was released only one year earlier. Insomniac would go on to sell over 10 million copies - Green Day's 3rd best selling album to date (behind Dookie and American Idiot). The album got a huge push by its popular singles "Geek Stink Breath", "Brain Stew/Jaded", and "Walking Contradiction". The album peaked at #2 in 1995 on the Billboard 200, with "Geek Stink Breath" and "Brain Stew / Jaded" both making it to #3 in the US.

Take 33 minutes out of your day to listen to listen to Insomniac today. Share with others in the comments below your thoughts on this album and your favorite song.
