Tré Cool Equipment

Tré played Ludwig drums during the recording and tours for American Idiot through the Trilogy. He returned to Ludwig in March 2024 and now uses a custom Legacy Maple kit as his primary touring setup. His configuration includes a 13-inch rack tom, 16- and 18-inch floor toms, and a 24-inch bass drum, finished in a custom black-and-silver Zebra Hybrid Sparkle wrap. He introduced the kit shortly before the Saviors Tour and has used it throughout the tour.

Tré joined SJC Custom Drums in 2014 and remained with the company for approximately ten years, using its custom kits through early 2024. His limited-edition signature set featured 13- and 24-inch drums with 16- and 18-inch floor toms, mahogany shells with maple reinforcement rings, and custom artwork based on Green Day’s pink bunny and Tré’s shield logo. Only 13 kits were produced, each signed by Tré, although he used several different custom SJC kits and finishes during his decade with the company rather than playing this one model exclusively.
