Billie Joe met his wife, Adrienne, when Green Day played in a basement in Minneapolis on the Slappy Tour. The relationship eventually dissolved because of the distance, but after Billie Joe broke up with another girlfriend in 1994, he called Adrienne. She had a yard sale ("Westbound Sign"), selling everything but her favorite blue creepers – and then her friends said she was "gone overnight." They were married shortly afterwards.
