A bleak song for the beginning of a fairly bleak album, lyric wise at least. The lyrics scream about not knowing which way to turn, who to trust, or even whether your own judgement is sound because you've "never trusted anyone/ let along myself." It highlights the pessimism that we all feel at times when we wonder whether we've done the right thing, when you doubt yourself to the point of the despair.
