MuchMusic.com put up an entry about the musicians that "don't have to go around proclaiming their sexuality in the hopes of selling a few more records. These artists are about the music, not the hype!" They mention Billie Joe and the songs King for a Day and Coming Clean, which they write "has been described by Armstrong as being about coming to terms with his own sexuality".

They also mention Kathleen Hanna, lead singer of Bikini Kill and Le Tigre, probably best known by most of you as the female vocals on the intro of 'Letterbomb'. And lastly, they also make mention of Bob Mould, former frontman of Hüsker Dü, which the more knowledgable of you will know of as one of Billie Joe's favorite bands.

It's an interesting read, if nothing else you get to know a bit about some artists you might not have known otherwise. LGBT issues are ones that I care about quite a bit, so thought I'd pass it along. As for the photo, just thought pointing out the irony of "not proclaiming their sexuality" as Billie Joe goes to town on stage was just too good an opportunity.
