Green Day kick off the tour in Seattle
From all accounts, Green Day put on a hell of a show last night. Good way to kick start the world tour. We will be adding photos right here in the picture vault. We don't have permission to re-publish the following photos yet, but they're really great photos on Flickr that you should check out from both Jackie Butler and Chuck Tuck.
Here's a quote from the Seattle Times review:
The frontman also threw T-shirts into the audience, and sprayed fans with a large water gun. It was a true party.
A different review from Spin magazine had plenty more good things to say about the show. You can see the full setlist at the end of this article:
Say what you want about Green Day's methods or motivation. The band's relationship with its audience is disarmingly real, a cross-generational give-and-take that's as punk as any Gilman Street scroungers today.
Happy 4th of July to everyone in the USA. Sorry about the delay in getting this post up, I was having some trouble with the internet.
The tour continues tonight in Vancouver.
