After a few months of hearing nothing more about the teased documentary Billboard.com posted an exclusive story announcing that the band isn't just working on one documentary, but two!

The first documentary being released is about the making of Green Day's upcoming trilogy albums ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tre!. Billboard states that the documentary will be ready by early next year to possibly premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. The second will use archival and "vintage" footage that was shot prior to the release of Dookie.

Billie Joe weighed in by saying the following:
It's not going to be the sitting down, head shot of me going, 'We started out blah blah blah.' We wanted to get into lifestyles of rock 'n' roll and playing rock n roll and letting the story kind of tell itself rather than create revisionist (history).
Billboard also notes that the band has teamed back up with Sam Bayer who shot all of Green Day's videos from American Idiot and directed Bullet in a Bible. Head on over to Billboard.com to read the full article.
