[pic=The Dookie Chronicles]050514_dookie_chronicles.jpg[/pic]Back in February, Rolling Stone featured a story titled "The Dookie Chronicles" which is an in-depth look at Green Day's most successful album of their career. The feature, written by the very talented David Fricke, looks back to the months surrounding the release and Green Day's decision to sign with Rob Cavallo and Reprise Records.

To summarize: Green Day sure liked getting stoned back then.

But really, it's a great story that all fans should take the time to read. The jump that Green Day saw going from a growing independent band on Lookout! Records to playing the largest music festivals and TV shows to become one of 1994's biggest names in music is quite the story.
