When we first heard of California, Jason White's new side project, this past March we weren't sure if the band was a one time type of deal or if they were more serious. Well today, after playing a number of more shows, we can safely say that California is here to stay with the announcement of the band recording their debut album.

California has posted three photos to their Facebook page in an album with the description "Let's make a record. Day #1."

From the photos we can tell that the band is recording at Green Day's Jingletown Recording in Oakland. I'm really excited to hear what this record will be like since I have been a fan of Jason's other projects in the past.
