The Official Charts Company has announced sales and streaming results for this past week and Green Day's new album Revolution Radio has debuted at the top of the U.K. charting service's Top Albums chart.

Revolution Radio outsold the #2 album, In The Now by Barry Gibb, at a whopping two-to-one. This is Green Day's third album to top the U.K. albums chart, along side of American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.

The band provided a quote to the Official Charts Company about their debut at #1:

The UK has always been a huge part of our story and to have a chart-topping album at this stage of our career is especially gratifying.

Here in the U.S., Billboard will announce their Top 200 albums chart this Sunday evening where it is forecasted that Revolution Radio will take over the #1 spot.
