'American Idiot' celebrates its 6th anniversary

[newsImage]091710_ai-album.jpg[/newsImage]Six years ago today, Green Day's seventh studio album, American Idiot, was released. The thirteen song album was produced by Rob Cavallo and released by Reprise Records. The album won Green Day many awards including a Grammy for 'Best Rock Album'.

American Idiot sported five singles, 'American Idiot', 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams', 'Holiday', 'Wake Me Up When September Ends', and 'Jesus of Suburbia'.

Most recently the American Idiot album has been turned into a Broadway musical that has been playing strong now for half a year. You can find all the information about that project by clicking here.
