#ThrowbackThursday - Green Day perform at the 2005 Grammy Awards

For this week's installment of [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/tags/throwback-thursday/]#ThrowbackThursday[/turl] we are bringing you back to the 2005 Grammy Awards. At the show Green Day performed the title track to their at the time most recent work, American Idiot.

In addition, Green Day's performance of "American Idiot" earned the [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/1396/]number one spot[/turl] in CBS' countdown of the Top 25 Grammy Moments that aired in 2007.

Green Day was [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/band/awards.php]nominated[/turl] for a total of six awards at the 2005 awards and ended up taking home the Grammy for Best Rock Album.
