Earlier this year we posted about Green Day gathering together a 21st Century Breakdown art show. Well after a few months of planning everything seems to have come together. Earlier this week GreenDay.com posted a press release concerning the upcoming art show. They state that the art show is planned on running at the StolenSpace Gallery in Shoreditch, East London from the 22nd of October until the 1st of November.

"We‘re really excited to be associated with this incredible show," Green Day front-man Billie Joe Armstrong said. "Seeing the pieces that our new album has inspired is very exciting. We feel a strong connection to that type of creative expression; we think the fans coming out will love it."

The shows creator, Logan Hicks said that he tried to pick artist who had the same type of visual approach to art as Green Day does to their music. In the show each piece of art represents a certain song on the album from 'Song of The Century' to 'See The Light'. You can view the complete press release on Green Day's official website by clicking here. If you are in the area for one of the shows at the 02 Arena in London be sure to stop and see the wonderful pieces of artwork in the gallery.

Also, on a side note, Download of the Week has also been updated with a download of 'Holiday' at the 2005 EMA's.
