John Lydon has issues with Green Day
John Lydon (a.k.a Johnny Rotten, a.k.a lead singer of the Sex Pistols) sure does have his issues with Green Day. When asked what he thought about the Arctic Monkey's, he not only managed to say he thought that band was shit, but managed to knock Green Day in the process:
"That's not a band. That's a showbiz construct. A mockery. That's very much like that awful band Green Day or Avril Lavigne"

He mentioned his delusional disdain for the band back in 2006, again from Gigwise:
"They're sticky tape on a duck's arse. They wouldn't have survived it. We had to earn our wings. We made it easy for them to come in and nick things from us. Silly fat kids. It was hard times we went through for them to come and pinch our ideas"
