The guys have just recently come back from Europe. and have done tons of press both there and elsewhere lately. We thought we'd combine some recent interviews into another roundup for your reading pleasure!

  • Green Day was on the Loudwire Nights radio show answering questions about their tour, masks, Revolution Radio, American Idiot the movie, Ordinary World, and more.
Tré Cool: We’re currently building a clone army and we’re going to send them off to different continents to play Green Day shows for us.
    How’s that working out?
TC: We haven’t quite gotten the Mike down yet. He has very complex DNA.
Mike Dirnt: We only have the masks.
• Next up, Green Day were recently interviewed Triple M out of Australia. They talk about what its like to keep playing after nearly 30 years. The interviewer also asks them about the early days, how they met, and what it's like to have a new album reach #1 after so many years.

Definitely worth a listen to hear Billie Joe talk about him and Mike meeting around 5th grade, sharing a joke book and the things they bonded over.

About the upcoming tour, Billie says:
I have to say I'm more excited about this tour than I have been for any tour ever. For me, I love playing, I love playing live. It's the best feeling in the world. We're fortunate enough to get to do it every night.
Listen to the interview here: Part 1 and Part 2.

  • At this point, questions about the time surrounding Billie Joe's rehab during the last tour are unavoidable. iNews asked the band about that topic (and also Donald Trump) recently. Here's an excerpt:
Did his bandmates know he was, as he puts it, “losing his mind”?

“Not really!” claims a suddenly animated Cool. “We’ve always been on the verge, all three of us, of losing our minds.”

“But we’re kind of on the good side of crazy!” Dirnt, says, laughing. “We were just working really, really hard. And at some point you have to hit the brakes. But no, I didn’t really know… in hindsight, things probably could have been…” He stops and shifts in his seat. “Ah, things are a lot better now, put it that way.”

Honestly, I don’t even remember that much of it. Which is good!” Has he watched the YouTube footage of the concert? “F*** no! I don’t even want to talk about it,” he says without rancour. “I’d rather leave that one in my past.
• Lastly, Green Day were interviewed in a recent issue of Kerrang! magazine. To enjoy this one, you'll have to purchase it, which you can do on either iTunes or Google Play.
