Nimrods movie screenings hit theaters today
Green Day's Nimrods movie starts rolling into theaters today, August 11th, with special early screenings around the world and at select theaters in the U.S.
The event screenings include a recorded introduction from Green Day along with exclusive live performances filmed at the Hollywood Palladium. That's the March 2025 show where fans were invited for free while Green Day filmed concert scenes for Nimrods, a few of which were released on the Nimrods soundtrack. The band also played a short set for fans between takes that included "Revolution Radio," "One Eyed Bastard," "2000 Light Years Away" and "Going to Pasalacqua."
Today's screenings are being distributed internationally by Trafalgar Releasing, with screenings available across the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and other markets. U.S. theaters including AMC and Regal are also participating in the early-access event.
You can search for tickets and showtimes on the official Nimrods site.
Nimrods follows three friends driving from Kansas City to Los Angeles after mistakenly believing their band has been booked to open for Green Day on New Year's Eve. The road trip is loosely inspired by Green Day's own years touring in a van before Dookie.
Today's screenings are a limited event with the extra Green Day footage. The movie opens more widely in U.S. theaters on August 14th. You can also check our Nimrods release guide for the latest ticket and screening information.
