No doubt some wonderful recognition for the work Billie Joe and Tom Kitt did on the album with the rest of the musical cast. The Grammy goes to Billie Joe for producing the soundtrack which was released in April 2010 when the show went on Broadway.

Green Day frontman has picked up another Grammy Award, this time in the category of Best Musical Show Album. The original cast recording of American Idiot, produced by Armstrong, took home the trophy at the Los Angeles award ceremony on February 13, beating out recordings of A Little Night Music, Fela!, Promises, Promises and Sondheim on Sondheim.
