[img=011911_calendarcontest.png]First off, I want to introduce you guys to our newest [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/site/team.php]team member[/turl] Alex, affectionally known as 'Moffiee' on the forum (follow her on Twitter). She's the new Project Coordinator for GDA, and she's gonna be in charge of making sure we have more fun stuff happening for our visitors.

We're off to a good start. We're starting a new contest today asking you guys to redesign the 'Awesome As Fuck' artwork. We're gonna pick our favorite 5 entries and put them up to a vote on the site. The winner will get a 2011 Green Day Calendar.

The contest is open to everyone worldwide, and the only requirement is that your submission is 600x600px and it's a JPG or PNG file. Use whatever images, fonts, colors, design, anything you want - just design it with the idea that it's an album cover.

So, start up Photoshop (or whatever design product you want) and make some artwork! We'd love to see those of you talented Photoshop folks out-design the actual artwork.

Send your submissions to contest@greendayauthority.com before January 31st. We'll be picking the top 5 and putting them up on February 2nd. So, you have plenty of time to work on something really awesome.

You can check out the forum thread about this contest, and if you want to share your artwork with more people post your images there (you'll still need to email it to us if you want to submit it).
