Green Day has been nominated for "Best Act Ever" for the MTV EMA's (UK). You can go vote for them now, right here. They're up against Britney Spears, U2, Christina Aguilera, Tokio Hotel and Rick Astley. Pretty terrible group, so Green Day needs to win.

The awards will be held in Liverpool on November 6th. They'll air on MTV UK, I'm not aware of anywhere they'll be showing in the US.

Many of you are not wondering if Green Day would be at the awards show, and though we haven't heard anything from the band themselves about this, I would assume they won't be. They usually don't start attending shows till after the new album is out, and it's not likely that we'll see the album out before the end of the year.

But, now that we've got the band nominated lets give them as many votes as possible to win.
