[img=031312_seine.jpg] Green Day will be headlining the Rock en Seine festival which takes place August 24-26 near Paris, France. The news was confirmed today on the official Rock en Seine website which lists other musicians such as Foster the People, Placebo, Noel Gallagher and more.

This is the 10th anniversary of Rock en Seine, which takes place over the course of three days at Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, and this will be Green Day's first time appearing at the festival.

Green Day last played France in June 26, 2010 during their second European tour for 21st Century Breakdown. Check out some photos from that gig.

This is Green Day's second planned show for 2012 (and the second festival) - the first will be at Japan's Summer Sonic festival taking place August 18-19. This is making it seem more and more likely we'll have the new album coming around late summer or fall.
