Billboard predicts #2 debut for ¡Uno!

[caption=¡Uno! expected to debut at #2]092912_billboard.jpg[/caption]While the official numbers won't be released until this coming Wednesday, Billboard is predicting a #2 debut for Green Day's first album, ¡Uno!, from their upcoming trilogy. The album is currently on track to sell more than 150,000 copies in it's first week, second behind the new release from Mumford & Sons which is estimated to sell 600,000 copies in its first week. These numbers are based only on US sales.
21st Century Breakdown debuted at #1 in 2009 selling more than 215,000 copies in its first week, and American Idiot also debuted at #1 with 267,000 copies sold in its first week.
The band currently has two songs on the Billboard charts: "Let Yourself Go" at #32 on the 'Alternative Songs' chart and "Oh Love" at #7 on the 'Rock Songs' chart.

Mumford & Sons wasn't the only major act to drop a new album yesterday, as Green Day, No Doubt and Lupe Fiasco all issued their latest releases. At the present, it looks as if Green Day's "Uno!" will bow in the No. 2 slot with perhaps 150,000 or so, while No Doubt's "Push and Shove" is headed for No. 3 with 125,000. Fiasco's "Food and Liquor II" is aiming for the No. 4 position with perhaps 100,000.
