Metal Hammer posted up a blog with a quote from Punktastic about Green Day and AC/DC headlining the 2009 Reading/Leeds festival in England taking place at the end of August.

Many of you will remember that Green Day chose this festival back in 2004 to play their first show before American Idiot came out. It's something I've kept on the back of my mind; thinking it seemed plausible to have Green Day choose this event to help with a world tour.

There's no confirmation about this, not from Green Day or the festival organizers. I feel a little dirty passing on 2nd/3rd/4th hand information - but rest assured that as soon as we found out whether or not it's true, we'll post it up.
